FYI- I tried to buy some toothbrushes from Family Dollar today and I had the $2/2 coupon and another $1/1. The store wouldn't accept either of the coupons because it is a store policy that you can't get anything free. :(
Jessica, That is ridiculous. Were you able to speak the manager? I wonder if each store has their own policy. Its not like they wouldn't get their money back from the manufacturer for the coupon.
I'm sorry this happened. This is the frustrating part of couponing. :(
It was the manager who told me that! Yeah, it was frustrating, but it's not your fault. I just wondered if that would happen to everyone. It doesn't make sense to me either - like you said, the store would be reimbursed for the coupon. Whatever. $1 is still a good deal for a toothbrush :)
