THRIFT STORES

I've been thrift store shopping for months now and stumbled across several good stores in my area. To my surprise, there are a lot of treasures and great deals out there. Two weeks ago, I visited the Mccart Thrift Store and bought 3 pair of Gymboree Jeans for my daughter. I only spent $9.12. These jeans typically retail for $20 brand new. Although the jeans were "used," they looked brand new. If you are anything like me, finding something for a steal is exciting and habit forming.

In November 2009, I began selling items on Ebay. My focus has been primarily Infant and Toddler Clothing. I began selling my daughters old clothes and was impressed at how well they sold. For me, it was better than having a garage sale. Since then, I've been hitting local thrift stores looking for clothing I can resell. I've been pretty successful so far. I am not getting rich by any means and it does take quite a bit of time, but its something I am enjoying at the moment.

Here are a list of my Favorite Thrift Stores :

Mc Cart Thrift Center

5203 McCart Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76115

Salvation Army Store - Located Throughout DFW

Goodwill Industries - Located Throughout DFW
www.goodwill.org/

Thrifttown - Locations Througout Tarrant County

Its best to hit these stores when they have specials and half off days.
You can signup for the VIP programs for Thrifttown and get coupons sent to your inbox.

If you are not familiar with thrift stores, the atmosphere quite a bit different than at your typical retail stores. To me,  this just adds to the thrift store experience.

You will be amazed at some of the finds you will encounter. A friend of mine found a basically brand new ARMANI suit for $25.
